Rascism still exsists today .

The horrible death of Trayvon Martin has touched hearts all over the US and even in some foreign countries . Seven - Teen year old Trayvon Martin was shot & killed in a nearby gated community near his home in Sanford Florida . The ironic thing about his death is that he was killed by a neighborhood watch captain . Someone who is suppose to prevent activities like this from happening . Yes , he was white and his statement was that " Trayvon looked suspicious " so he shot innocent Trayvon because he had a good on walking through a white neighborhood .

Another example of rascism is by movie watchers of " The Hunger Games " . Many people who are familiar with the book by Suzanne Collins. One particular character ( Rue ) has caught the eye of many . On twitter , many have made the comment that they didn't expect Rue to be a little black girl as played in the movie version, but in Suzannes book she specifically said Rue was " brown skinned " .

what bothers me the most is, what does the skin color of a movie character have to do with their performance of the role. I personally don't judge people by the color of their skin but by the content of their character ( dr. martin luther king ) . it makes me upset that or brave heroes and ancestors from back in the day fought for our freedom and equal right and for the ending of slavery & today we are still being judged by skin color. I thought it was over .. but I guess not .

* no links, I just spilled my thoughts out .

Most Births Outside Marriage

The article "For Women Under 30, Most Births Occur Outside Marriage" is about most women under 30, are having babies without being married and the percentage is rising. I really don't think that there is anything wrong with having a baby outside of marriage. As long as the mother or father has a good support system by their side they can be successful with their baby.

I think many people is concerned that if you have a baby outside of marriage the father would abandon the baby, thinking its not theirs. Many people would want to wait to get married. For me personally, i dont want to get married young. i would want to get married when im at least 35 - 45 years old.

Based on the information on the article on new york times, in 2009, more than 50% of births were within a marriage. . and 92% of college educated women give birth when married. i think thats good. but for me i wouldn't get married in college.

Ashira Mason think that today in our generation, many teens are getting pregnant and they arent mature enough to have a baby. i agree these teens should be wait to have a baby.

900-year-old heart: Catholic church pleads for return of stolen relic

Who Stole St. Laurence O'Tooles' Heart ?
A 900 year old heart was stolen from a Roman Catholic church in dublin, ireland. Lucan Ua Tuathail also known as St. Laurence O'Tooles' heart was preserved and put into a heart shaped box, protected by a cage and mounted onto the wall of Christ Church Cathedral. The perp cut through the box and stole the valuable but precious heart on Saturday.

- Who steals the heart of a saint. Are people really that dumb these days to steal something so valuable. If you try to sell it for money, you'll get caught and be put in jails for a long time. Out of all the thing on earth. They could have stole a car, a phone, candy from their corner store, nooo they decide to take the heart of St. Laurence. I think that is so wrong. When that person gets caught he/she should be put away for eternity or be killed the old fashion way by stoning or with a sword. this crime is too serious to be forgiven for.

iPods In China,

In this article called In China, Human Costs Are Built Into an iPad people that worked at some iPad factories were being treated horribly. In this article it says how 20 employees were being put into a 3 bedroom apartment to share. It also said that workers were getting injured by standing all day. Some employees had 24 hour shifts and worked 6 days a week . Apple Had this motto Saying work hard on the job today or work hard to find a job tomorrow. I Don't like this just because of how they was treating the employees. They could of gave the employees better homes instead of making 20 of them share a 3 bedroom apartment. I believe someone should really look into this and actually start a protest to the Apple Co. for their horrible treatments.

Im a criminal

In this article, " I am a criminal and so are you" law professor Michelle Alexander believes that everyone is a criminal. She believes that everyone has broken at least a couple laws in their lives. smoked, did underaged drinking, go above the speed limit, drink & drive, etc.
Michelle Alexander believes that the public believes that a criminal is the people who are in jail for crimes like murder, rape, theft, broader crimes, but even the people outside the jail cells committed a couple crimes. Even the cops thats protecting and serving today committed crimes, and even our very own president did a few crimes throughout his lifetime and admitted it. No matter how small the crime is, j walking, running through a stop sign, stealing a pack of gum from the corner store, everyone is a criminal.

In the article, it says " i doubt Barack Obama thinks of himself as a criminal, though he should, He has admitted to using illegal drugs during college years -- lots, in fact. Even our own president has admitted to doing illegal drugs throughout his college years.

In my opinion , a criminal is a person who did a really serious crime , like rape , or stealing , or killing. If you J Walk , or take a piece of candy from the store it shouldn't really be considered a crime.
